F.W. Mattox gives a wonderful and interesting history of God’s Church from Jesus' time in ancient Judah and Rome up through the restoration period in America.  There is a very good chapter on the historical evidence of Jesus.  From the Apostles to those early preachers in America, Mattox takes us through important events in church history.  Ever wonder where Catholicism comes from?  What about the Baptists and the Lutherans?  It is all here.  As Mattox gives the facts behind Catholic and denominational faiths, you’ll find out how much men, and very little God, played in the creation of these “religions”.  But Mattox also shows throughout history there has been a remnant of those that only wanted to be faithful to God and do His will.
